NEW ALBANY, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Ohio Pork Council has opened early-bird registration for the 2026 Ohio Pork Congress, promising the most expansive agenda in the event’s history. Scheduled for Feb. 3-4 at the Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center in Lima, the conference will feature a record 18 breakout sessions, including a significantly expanded curriculum for Spanish-speaking professionals.

The two-day event kicks off with the annual Swine Health Symposium, focusing on national priorities such as biosecurity, disease preparedness, and PRRS management. New for 2026, the Congress will provide translation equipment for English-based sessions to ensure all attendees, from “slat-level” barn workers to executive decision-makers, can access critical technical information.

“Our goal is to make this year’s event even more useful and relevant as it challenges us all to take our industry to the next level,” said Cheryl Day, Executive Vice President of the Ohio Pork Council.

A major highlight of the second day is the keynote address by Dr. Leo Feler, Chief Economist at Numerator. Feler is expected to provide a data-driven look at real-world consumer behavior, bridging the gap between macroeconomic trends—like inflation and interest rates—and what shoppers are actually placing in their grocery carts.

In addition to educational sessions, the Congress will host more than 60 trade show exhibitors and the annual OPC Awards Ceremony, which recognizes excellence among Ohio’s pork producers and industry leaders.

Registration is currently available at a discounted rate at ohioporkcongress.org.
