MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW) – POET Bioprocessing – Marion awarded 2026 Community Impact Grants to four local organizations this year that are planning projects to address safety, access, and recreation. This year’s grants totaled $10,000.
“These projects all contribute to making this area a better place to live,” said Regis Sherry, General Manager of POET Bioprocessing – Marion. “Improving facilities, providing safe spaces, and expanding access to recreational opportunities are initiatives that benefit everyone. We are proud to be part of these projects.”
This year’s grants were awarded to the following organizations.
- Y-Mens Service Club Inc.: $1,000 to build ramps for residents with disabilities in their homes.
- Legendary Livestock 4H Club: $3,000 to support funds for improvements at the Richwood Independent Fair — specifically, to replace the current hog-washing stalls, which were built around 1990 and are now experiencing drainage issues and structural damage.
- Turning Point Programs for Victims of DV and HT: $3,000 to enhance the capacity and sustainability of the shelter programs across both of its locations. Additionally, grant support will help provide essential resources like food, client assistance, and transportation, meeting immediate needs so survivors can focus on healing and rebuilding.
- City of Marion Rec Center: $3,000 to offer all daily passes to the Marion Rec Center free for teens, removing cost as a barrier.
