Wyandot County, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—As the holiday season approaches, Wyandot County is gearing up for a series of festive events that promise to bring joy and cheer to residents and visitors alike. From parades to pancake breakfasts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
One of the highlights of the season is the “Home for the Holidays” event in downtown Upper Sandusky on December 7. This all-day celebration features downtown Christmas shopping, activities for kids, including writing letters to Santa, sipping hot chocolate, and a delightful holiday parade. The day culminates with the courthouse tree lighting and a festive “jingle mingle” at a local restaurant
In addition to the main event, the Wyandot County Museum will be hosting a special Christmas tree preview on December 7 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and December 8 from 1PM to 5PM. Visitors can enjoy the museum adorned in holiday lights and decorations, creating a magical atmosphere perfect for the season
Upper Sandusky Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast
For those who enjoy a hearty breakfast, the Upper Sandusky Rotary Club is hosting a pancake breakfast on December 7 from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the John Stewart Methodist Church. It’s a great way to start the day before heading out to enjoy the other festivities

Upper’s Winter Fantasy of Lights
Harrison Smith Park, situated just east of downtown Upper Sandusky, has been transformed into a dazzling light show each December. Through the hard work of many volunteers, organizations, and businesses, the park’s 33 acres come alive with millions of lights and a variety of unique displays, offering a magical drive-through experience.
