MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Downtown Marion, Inc. has been named a 2026 Affiliate Main Street America program, a national designation recognizing its commitment to preservation-based economic development and community revitalization.

The announcement, made by Main Street America and its partners, places Downtown Marion among a select group of 453 Affiliate organizations nationwide. The designation serves as a signal to civic leaders and funders that the local program meets rigorous national standards for grassroots transformation.

“We are proud to recognize Downtown Marion, Inc. for your unwavering commitment to grassroots transformation and the extraordinary abilities of your staff, board of directors, and volunteers,” said Erin Barnes, President and CEO at Main Street America.
