TIFFIN, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—North Central Ohio Educational Service Center (NCOESC) recently hosted its End-of-Year Network Meeting for school counselors and social workers, bringing together professionals from across the region to reflect on the school year, share best practices, and plan for continued student support.
The meeting provided an opportunity for counselors and social workers to collaborate on key topics impacting student well-being, including mental health supports, attendance, student engagement, and community resources. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions, reviewed important updates, and explored strategies to strengthen support systems for students and families.
As part of the session, participants also met with Rachel Wixey, founder of Work Well and the Wixey Center for Wellness. Rachel led a session focused on how secular meditation and nervous system regulation can support counselors, social workers, and other school professionals. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in short, guided practices while exploring skills related to attentional awareness, self-regulation, and overall wellness to enhance their ability to support students and connect with others.
