MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Palace Cultural Arts Association (PCAA) has announced that the science-fiction adventure “Project Hail Mary” will be featured on the big screen at the historic Marion Palace Theatre this weekend, April 17–19.
Based on the best-selling novel by Andy Weir, the film follows a middle-school science teacher who awakens on a spacecraft with no memory of his past or his mission. He soon realizes he is humanity’s last hope for survival and must use scientific ingenuity and an unexpected interstellar friendship to save Earth from a catastrophic threat.
The production, which is rated PG-13 and has a runtime of 2 hours and 36 minutes, has been praised for its blend of humor, suspense, and emotional heart.
The Marion Palace Theatre, located at 276 W. Center Street in downtown Marion, will offer four opportunities for the community to view the film:
- Friday, April 17: 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, April 18: 2:00 p.m.
- Sunday, April 19: 2:00 p.m. (Presented with open captions)
